| Exercise B |
Add a reflect on the ground ! |
Okay, let's add a F-Ball to your scene. We choose the "FB_square_BW" of the F-Balls library.
Drag'n drop the ball onto the floor of our background, in a new layer named "Ball". |
Duplicate the ball on a new layer named "Ref" and move this copy down below the original ball.
You can reverse this copy if you want (Modify/transfom/flip vertical).
In most cases, it's not necessary. |
Once in place, click on the reflect to give it some transparency.
12% looks good.
To enhance our scene, we can add a drop shadow onto the floor. We choose the "FB_shadow_1" from the F-Balls library.
Place it on a layer below the "ref" one. Adjust its size and placement. |
The floor is shiny. This shadow must then be very subtle. Give it a transparency of 34 in the Color / Alpha palette.

That's all ! Great, isn't it ? |
| |
Combine it with a reflection map... |
We're going to create a bubble. To do this, you can download here a free bubble base. Import the swf file in your scene and place it on a new layer. |
Our bubble needs some realistic reflection. We're going to combine it with the object "FB_chrome3" from the F-Balls library.
Drag'n drop the chrome ball in front of our bubble, in a new layer. Adjust its size to match the bubble's dimensions. |
Adjust the transparency of the chome ball, with the Alpha palette.
18% seems quite right.
Your bubble looks great now. |
As shown in the previous exercise, you can add a reflect in the floor. To do this, select the bubble and its reflection, create a new graphic object (F8), copy it and give it a subtle transparency. Shadow in not necessary here.
Good job ! You've done it ! |
