Tutorial 06 Niveau débutant
Composing with the F-Balls
Page 1/3

In those exercises, we'll explore some amazing ways to combine the F-Balls in a scene. Don't try to edit
an F-Ball (don't double-click it). Most of them are specialy designed with complex alpha effects and are not editable any more. But you can resize, turn, and mix them together to obtain some great results.
Let's take a look about this...

Exercise A :
Give it a drop shadow!
Exercise B :
Add a reflect on the ground !
Exercise C :
Combine it with a reflection map !
Exercise D :
Cut a ball and put it on the floor !
Exercise E :
Enhance the glass ball with a glass shadow !

Exercise A
Give it a drop shadow !

First, we'll add a F-Ball to your scene. We choose the "FB_basket" ball.

Putting it on the floor looks great, but it will be more realistic if we could add a drop shadow .

In your F-Ball library, you'll find a "FB_shadows" folder.

Drag and drop the "FB_shadow_2" in your scene.

(Don't forget to place it in a layer just below the ball one)

Adjust the size and the placement of the shadow.

To give it a more subtle touch, give it an alpha transparency of 54%

Congratulations. It's done !
